Course Guide

Introduction

Welcome to the Community-Based Corrections Course Guide.  This guide is designed to assist students in the class or similar classes in their class assignments and project research. Use the tabs above to find research resources selected from the WCSU subscriptions.

Listed here you will find reference works, e-journals, web resources, and research databases covering many aspects of legal and criminal research.  Online sources are emphasized here for the benefit of off-campus students and those affiliated with distance learning programs.   Also included is basic information for getting a library PIN, citation style guides, etc.

Although this guide is intended primarily for students in the class in law enforcement, corrections and juvenile justice programs, others who are enrolled in public administration, political science, and forensics studies or related programs will also find useful resources here.

All users should be aware that this is only a sampling of available sources and they should also check the CSU CONSULS Online Catalog for additional resources.  For more personal assistance, contact the Robert S. Young Library's Reference Desk at 203-837-9139.
