Justice and Law Administration: Home

Welcome to the Justice & Law Administration  Research Guide.  This guide is designed to assist students involved in JLA  graduate and undergraduate programs. Use the tabs above to find research resources selected to assist students in the study of management and administration in justice-related professions; and resources for students pursuing paralegal or related legal assistant careers.

There are a tremendous number of resources related to criminal justice and legal research.  Even with this abbreviated list you will find many more resources than you will need to perform college level research and produce successful papers and projects. .  Online sources are emphasized here for the benefit of off-campus students and those affiliated with distance learning programs.   Also included is basic information on citation style guides, researching a paper etc.

Although this guide is intended primarily for students in law enforcement, corrections and juvenile justice programs, others who are enrolled in public administration, political science, and forensics studies or related programs will also find useful resources here.

All users should be aware that this is only a sampling of available sources and they should also check the CONSULS Online Catalog for additional resources.  For more personal assistance, contact the Robert S. Young Library's Reference Desk at 203-837-9139.
