From State Normal School to State University

History of the development of Western Connecticut State University, from Normal School in 1904 to University. Created for the Women of Mark exhibit, spring 2022

     This guide was created in conjunction with the Haas Library exhibit, From Normal School to State University.  It outlines the growth of Western Connecticut State University, founded as a Normal School in 1904, from a basic teacher education school to a university offering advanced education in many disciplines.
