There are several broad reasons you may have trouble logging in to WestSearch.
Password Issues
Usually the problem is the password.
- Did you change your WCSU password recently?
Sometimes it takes time for the new password to trickled down to WestSearch. Wait half an hour and try again.
- Did you not change your password recently?
Maybe our system has the wrong password cached. Update your password [link goes to a Microsoft page] and try logging in to WestSearch again.
Account Issues
These problems sometimes occur at semester changes.
- Are you a brand new student?
New students are added to WestSearch at 2 am each day. If you are brand new to the system, you might need to wait a day.
- Are you a returning student, but your account was disabled for some reason?
This sometimes happens, especially with newly registered Master's students. The central system told our system you graduated, so your account was disabled. Your account will probably be re-enabled at 2 am the day after you register.
I've read through all this and it still isn't working!
Double-checking--you did try resetting your password, right? It's wicked annoying but it fixes 90% of log-in problems.
