The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) is now online at WCSU! The DSM is the standard diagnostic tool used by mental health professionals worldwide to promote reliable research, accurate diagnosis, and thus appropriate treatment and patient care. Each psychiatric disorder with its corresponding diagnostic code is accompanied by a set of diagnostic criteria and descriptive details including associated features, prevalence, familial patterns, age-, culture-, and gender-specific features, and differential diagnosis.
DSM Online includes access to the current edition, plus complete DSM archives (DSM-I, DSM-II, DSM-III, DSM-III-R, DSM-IV, and a couple of significant changes to between-edition printings) for research and archiving purposes. The service also includes APA Practice Guidelines and abstracts from AJP in Advance. Note that there are no limits on concurrent users, and the system may be accessed remotely by WCSU faculty, staff, and students.
