Finding Journals

There are a several ways to locate individual journals. The first two are suggested as best path to follow.

  1. Search in the WCSU Journal Finder: This will tell you if it is available online or in print.
  2. Search in WestSearch (Primo). This will tell you if we have it online or in print.
  3. Search in a WCSU database: Databases index a finite number of journals. You actually need to know if the journal is "in" the database. If it's not there, it's not much good to you in this situation.
  4. Search in Google or Google Scholar. It may find the journal, but there are some potential problems with accessing the content. You need to (A) make sure that WCSU Libraries is set to be associated with Google/Scholar and (B) be on the WCSU Network. Even then there could be issues depending on the licensing arrangements with the publisher.
