Start Right Away ...

  1. Start Walking. For most people, walking is an easy way to be active physically. Just head out the door and start! 
  2. Go to one of the WCSU Rec Centers. On either Midtown or Westside campuses, you have fitness centers available; yes, free for students and employees of WCSU!
  3. Start eating healthy, paying attention to the nutritional value of what you eat and drink. 
  4. Read: Educate yourself about the benefits of proper nutrition and exercise by reading from a variety of resources, many of which are available from the Library in physical and online formats. 
  5. Do a local event, such as a 5K walk or run. Here's a local event calendar. 
  6. Team Up: Create or join a community. Whether that "community" means you and one or more of your friends or a larger group, there are benefits to engaging with others.
