Use the tools below to help you choose and develop your topic, including how to either narrow your topic or broaden it.
Often starting with a tertiary source (encyclopedias, etc., such as found in Credo) can give you the background you need to begin to shape your topic. Another good place to start is CQ Researcher which gives you the pros and cons of different issues.
The Credo Mind Map (see the video below) is an excellent tool for getting ideas on how to narrow a broad topic or broaden a narrow topic.
