The purpose of this guide is to help you to locate measurement tools to be used in your research. These tools may be in the form of tests, instruments, questionnaires, surveys, interview schedules, checklists, and more.

Using Indexes in HaPI to search for tests

In this example multiple indexes are used to find tests/instruments to be utilized for Reading in Elementary School ages students. Reading is used in Measure Index and Elementary School Students is used in the Sample Index.

Searching HaPI utilizing Indexes

Go to the Index page and browse the Measure Index. Terms will be listed alphabetically.

Browse for Reading ability and add it to the search box

There are 1,238 results. After this hit the browser back button so another search term can be added from the Indexes.

Change to the Sample Index and browse for Elementary School Students. Then add it to the search box.

Now there are 167 results for tests or instruments in the Measure Reading Ability and the Sample Elementary School Students.
